Lamar Jackson posts cryptic message after Ravens’ playoff loss

Lamar Jackson shared a cryptic message to a social media outlet because he’s still without a contract extension from the Ravens.

“When you have a good thing, you don’t play with it,” reads a message posted to Jackson’s Instagram Story. “You don’t risk losing it. You don’t neglect it. When you have something good, you pour it out. You appreciate it. Because when you take good care of something, that good thing takes care of you, too.”

Jackson, 26, also removed his Instagram profile picture. His Twitter post includes a photo of him in a Ravens uniform, with his banner blank.

Jackson, who has been sidelined with a knee injury since Week 13, did not travel with the team to Sunday’s game at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, according to an NBC broadcast, adding to rumors of a disconnect with the team.

Jackson will become an unrestricted free agent when the new league year begins on March 16 if he and the Ravens do not agree to terms for a new deal.

The former NFL MVP represents himself, as he does not have an agent.

On Thursday, Jackson Provided an update on his knee injuryand provided insight into his PCL dynasty which he endured in a victory over the Broncos on December 4.

Jackson tweeted, “Thank you all for your support and concerns about my injuries.” “I want to give you all an update as I am in the recovery process. I suffered a grade 2 posterior cruciate ligament sprain on a 3 strain limit. There is still inflammation surrounding my knee and my knee is still not stable.

He continued, “I am still in good spirits, as I continue treatment on the road to recovery.” “I wish I could be there with my mates more than anything, but I can’t give 100% of myself to my mates and my fans, I still hope we still have a chance.”

Jackson was injured in the first quarter of the Ravens-Broncos game when he was hit from behind by Broncos linebacker Jonathon Cooper. He limped to the sideline and was replaced by backup Tyler Huntley, who started Sunday’s playoff loss to the Bengals.
