Laslo Djere vs. Zizou Bergs odds, pick

Round 1 of Australian Open Monday night, conditions in Australia are expected to be very hot, with temperatures likely to reach 97 degrees. The Aussie Open is always hot, but this one is exceptionally warm, even for this tournament.

Thus, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if we saw some players struggle with their effort level. One of those contenders could be Laslo Djeer, who is favorite -220 on Zizou Bergs on Monday (around 7 p.m. ET) and will air on ESPN+.

This line looks too high.

Australian Open Prediction: Laslo Djerje vs Australian Open Zizou Berges

Djeere probably gets respect from the bookies because he is a veteran player on the ATP Tour and Bergs looks up to his accomplishments, but Djeere has really struggled on the hard courts in his career and is 0-5 for life at the Happy Slam.

Meanwhile, Bergs has never played in the main draw of the Australian Open, but he got here through qualifying, which means he’ll get used to these fast courts and steamy conditions. Berg dropped just one set in his three qualifying matches and made quick work of Adrian Andreev to snag his ticket to the main draw.

This seems like a classic example of a tennis match being snubbed by the betting market, as that line must be tighter given Djery’s hard court stats and the fact that Berg has already looked strong in three matches at Down Under.
